About Us
The WJHS PTO Mission Statement is:
“To support the WJHS students and staff through various activities and venues in the hopes of providing the best educational environment and opportunity for all of our children.”
WJHS PTO provides yearly support for the following programs:
- Online school Directory through Membership Toolkit
- 8th Grade Graduation Party, support for The Battle of the Books
- Management of EduKits school supplies, Cafeteria and Courtyard volunteers
- Student Council and Yearbook teacher sponsorships
- 7th and 8th Grade Enrichment, through the iGNITE Fund, such as author visits, field trips, language arts experiences and traveling speakers/assemblies
- Coordination of after school clubs like Latin Club, Debate and any third party partnerships
- Teacher/Staff Appreciation throughout the year and the Holiday Gift Fund
- New Families and 7th Grade Parent reception/orientation in the beginning of the school year
- SpiritWear options through our partnership with HumanKind
- Liaisons with D39 community groups like Civics & Safety, PASS39, D39 Educational Foundation, CRC (Community Review Committee)
