Thank you so much to everyone who donated something for our teacher/staff Soup Lunch yesterday! Whether it was a crockpot, dessert, toppings or paper goods, we really appreciate your help in making this tradition a success! And the staff LOVED it!

Sadly, due to the lack of participants, we will have to cancel the WJHS Talent & Variety Show planned for Thursday, March 6th. We congratulate those who’ve auditioned and hope we can offer this show next year!

PTO POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR NEXT YEAR

We are starting to fill positions for next year’s PTO Executive and General Board. If you would like to help make many services possible for our students and parents, your time would be greatly appreciated. There’s something for everyone in terms of time commitment!

PTO Secretary - attends once a month meetings held at 9am on the first Wednesday of each month, takes notes and writes up minutes

VP Communications - manages website, serves as the Membership Toolkit liaison and coordinates with the Directory Chair for the launch of the new school year, sends out all school announcements

VP Community/Hospitality - manages events and committees for New Families Orientation, 7th Grade Orientation, Monthly Staff Treats, Teacher/Staff Holiday Gift Fund and Teacher Appreciation Week

Community/Hospitality Committees - can you be a Greeter for new families (one night in August)? Can you coordinate getting donuts/coffee for parents during the 7th grade orientation (one morning in August), can you plan special days for teachers involving soup, hot cocoa or hot cider (once a month for 3-4 months)?

8TH Grade Graduation Party Committee - it’s never too early to start thinking about planning NEXT year’s graduation party. Usually gets going around January of graduation year.

There are two spots per day designated for parents to help serve lunch as kids go through the lunch line. Your help is both requested and appreciated by the kitchen staf! Sign up as many times as you’d like!
