ACES DEBATE CLUB – ADVANCED DEBATE
Where you’ll learn to think fast and speak well! Learn research, writing, and oral argumentation. All programs consist of weekly class sessions held at WJHS for 60 minutes with supplemental debate activities. All programs conclude with a 2-hour session to give students an opportunity to demonstrate their new skills in full debates. Grades 7–8.

All programs consist of weekly class sessions held at HMS for 60 minutes with supplemental debate activities. HIGH FIVE JUNIOR CHOIR
The Wilmette High Five Junior Choir provides an empowering learning environment in which students of all abilities come together to create and experience music, build friendships, and raise awareness against stereotypes of individuals with disabilities. This club was designed after the High-5 Choir that is offered at New Trier High School. The Wilmette High Five Junior Choir aims to share the love of music with peers regardless of abilities, share our voices through music, and have a lot of fun!

Dates: 10/5, 10/12, 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14, 12/21, 1/11, 1/18.An afternoon concert will be held on 1/25. There will also be an evening choir concert in tandem with HMS & WJHS choirs in December, date TBA.

LATIN CLUB
Latin students of WJHS! Are you tired of spending your Thursday afternoons NOT doing Roman-related things? Worry no more! Latin Club starts on September 28th, and you can partake of all things Roman in Latin Club with Magistra! We will do such righteous things as craft Roman naval and mural crowns for our heads, tie-dye togas, watch the original Clash of the Titans with delicious popcorn, celebrate a Roman Halloween, and craft the dress of gladiators! Latin Club is capped at 30 students, so sign up early for the classical fun!

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS CLUB
Calling all D&D enthusiasts! We are running an afterschool club for all students interested in Dungeons & Dragons. Whether you’ve played before or only know it from the popular T.V. show Stranger Things, D&D is an incredibly creative game that is fun to play and easy to learn! Even if you’ve never played before, this club is the perfect place to learn about the game. We will go over all the basics and run exciting campaigns, some even homebrew!

ARTS & CRAFTS CLUB
Arts and Crafts club is a fun opportunity to explore new, funky, and off the beaten path methods of art-making! We will explore paper making, metal tooling, jewelry, and more! This club is a great way to expand your art world and get to know other cool creatives.

**Section 1 & Section 2 are identical sections. Both sections will be crafting the same material each week. The class is divided into two sections to provide the students with more individualized attention during the crafting activities. Please only sign up for one session.

GAMES OF STRATEGIES CLUB
Ready to push away the winter blues and connect with friends after school in a fun environment without electronics – join the Games of Strategies Club! This club will allow you to connect with others while playing fun games. You can polish skills in traditional board games as well as learn how to play new games. Match wits and powers of deduction with and against your classmates!
Feel free to bring in a favorite game to share and play with your classmates. Nothing electronic or battery-operated is allowed! If you have games you are no longer using and would like to donate to our club, please reach out to Ms. Hsu. Open to 7th & 8th graders.
